ACLAMO has built a reputation of finding creative housing solutions for communities that have been marginalized by traditional housing programs due to the lack of language and cultural competencies for 20 years, and created a standalone housing program 3 years ago.
We work to prevent homelessness, divert homeless families from entering shelter, identify and reach unsheltered families and connect them to a safe place to stay, connect families to high quality, low barrier family shelter, re-house families experiencing homelessness, and connect families experiencing homelessness to critical income and support services.
ACLAMO’s Housing Team consists of a Program Manager, a Quality Control Officer, and six housing counselors who support clients seeking rental and/or utility assistance in addition to providing case management in housing disputes and housing acquisition.
Counselors provide individual services to clients including intake and assessment, services eligibility, and linkages to appropriate resources.
