Promoting Healthy Eating in Our Community

ACLAMO’s team and Promotoras de Salud with Main Line Health professionals

Last month, ACLAMO, in collaboration with Main Line Health, held an educational Nutrition Training for our team. Our Promotoras de Salud and staff participated in the session, gaining valuable knowledge and practical strategies to promote healthy eating habits and overall well-being.

We thank Main Line Health for providing this training and equipping our team with the tools to support the health of our community.

Meeting with Representative Greg Scott and Comcast

ACLAMO recently met with State Representative Greg Scott (PA-54) and our partners at Comcast

to discuss ways to expand access, promote digital equity, and create new opportunities for our community. We are grateful for their continued support and collaboration as we work together to better serve our families and neighbors.

Students practice financial skills at the ACLAMO          school store

Last month, before heading off for winter break, our ACLAMO school store was open for two days! Many students took the opportunity to purchase thoughtful gifts for their family members.

Our 7th and 8th-grade students stepped up to help younger students with their purchases and even assisted in counting money. It was wonderful to see students practicing responsibility, teamwork, and financial skills, all while having a great time shopping!

Mentoring Program holiday party

Last month, our Mentoring Program students came together to celebrate the season at our annual holiday party. The evening was filled with warmth and festive spirit as students, divided into three groups, performed cheerful holiday songs for their families, spreading joy throughout the room.

We also took time to recognize each grade during our class awards presentation, celebrating the dedication, growth, and achievements of our students.

The celebration concluded with a delightful potluck dinner, made especially meaningful by the delicious dishes lovingly shared by our families.

A Bright Start: Students enter the new year motivated          to thrive

As 2026 begins, our students are starting the year full of energy and creativity! The new year kicked off with exciting projects across all our clubs.

In the Arts & Crafts Club, students are exploring new ways to express themselves with hands-on projects. Music Club is creating original songs using everyday instruments, while Theater Club is helping students bring their performances to life on stage. Meanwhile, Lego Club is encouraging problem-solving and teamwork through imaginative building challenges.

These activities are helping students enhance their creativity, collaboration, and confidence as they dive into a fresh and inspiring year!

Empowering Families: Locating loved ones in ICE custody

Our Senior Case Manager, Cindy Castillo, recently led an important community presentation on how to locate family members who have been detained by ICE.

During the session, attendees learned a step-by-step process for responding if a loved one is detained, including how to search for them, who to contact, and actions to take as early as possible. This guidance is invaluable in helping families stay informed, prepared, and supported during extremely stressful situations.

We are proud to provide resources and education that empower our community in times of need. If you want to learn more about your rights or share this information with someone else, visit our website:

Ambassadors for Education: Parents advocating for fair school funding

Last month, our ACLAMO Advocates: Ambassadors for Education, parents of students in our after-school program, participated in a call to learn more about the passage of Pennsylvania’s state budget and what it means for public school funding across the Commonwealth. The approved budget included several important wins for public schools statewide.

Our ACLAMO Advocates: Ambassadors for Education look forward to future advocacy opportunities and continuing to learn how to fight for fair and equitable funding for all public schools.

Standing With ACLAMO: Partner of the Month

Last month, we were thrilled to bring holiday cheer to families in our community thanks to the generosity of Toys for Tots. Through this toy distribution, 159 families were supported and 294 children received holiday gifts, helping make the season brighter and filled with excitement.

Seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter of children opening their gifts was a wonderful reminder of the joy and connection the holidays bring. We are deeply grateful to our partners, Toys for Tots for helping us create these special moments for so many families.
