Dear Friend
As we approach the end of another remarkable year at ACLAMO, we reflect on what we have achieved together, and we are filled with gratitude for your support and commitment to empowering dreams and building futures. It cannot be underestimated how instrumental members of our community have been in our success and the pivotal role you play in our mission to support the potential that exists in our community.
In the spirit of celebrating the impact we’ve had, our end of the year campaign, Empowering Dreams, Building Futures, encapsulates the essence of what ACLAMO stands for – a source of inspiration and opportunity for our community. Through your contributions, we continue our commitment to providing holistic, bilingual and bicultural services to those in need, filling critical gaps in the social safety net, our educational system, and health network.
I’d like to share with you about a dream and the bright future you have supported through ACLAMO. Kaylee has been involved at ACLAMO since she was a little girl. Ever since she came to Norristown when she was 5 years old, Kaylee has attended ACLAMO’s Summer Bridge and our Mentoring and Career Development programs, where she now teaches as our Second Grade Lead Tutor. Kaylee’s mother learned English through ACLAMO’s ESL classes, and her older sisters received assistance with their immigration process so they too could immigrate from El Salvador.
Kaylee is one of the “ACLAMO Babies” and I still remember her as a sweet little girl in our program. We have had the pleasure and honor of supporting her to grow and build her own future. We were there at Kaylee’s high school graduation to celebrate her success and we helped her apply to college, providing scholarships so that she could attend. It was because of Kaylee’s experiences at ACLAMO that she is attending college to pursue a career in special education, so that she can be there to support others like her, laying the building blocks for their success.
We are so proud of Kaylee and the impact ACLAMO’s programs have on entire families. This year we provided academic tutoring to over 250 at-risk ESL students like Kaylee. Every day we witness firsthand the ways our programs support the dreams of youth. Not only do we provide a safe space for them to develop and learn, but they are also exposed to a world of opportunities they otherwise don’t see. The success stories emerging from this program are a testament to the power of education and mentorship.
By donating to Empowering Dreams, Building Futures, you are investing in the students and families we serve. Our goal is to raise $100,000 and we are excited to share we already have raised 10% of this target. We need your support to reach 100% of our goal. Your contribution is an investment in our community.
