Part Time - 30 hours (Montgomery County)
The community health and wellness educator plays a unique role, providing information to people about health issues. This position requires that a candidate is able to identify health needs and create culturally appropriate workshops, programs and seminars necessary to bring awareness and solutions to the area of concern. She/he will develop programs and materials that promote wellness, and that encourage children and adults to make healthy decisions. The community health and wellness educator will develop training and educational opportunities for ACLAMO’s Promotores. She/he will lead and organized Promotores activities, volunteer opportunities and community engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public health, health education or related field with at least 1 year of experience working in these fields.
- Must be bilingual (English/Spanish).
